Intense ruby, complex and elegant aromas, with ripe black fruits and currant, notes of coffee. The palate may look dry but it exhibits a fruity and charming character that brings the ripe fruits, light notes to eucalyptus, well integrated with wood, long and firm finish. From vineyards of more than 20 years, grapes are collected by hand and carefully transported to the cellar where they are once cleaned and crushed, the resulting juice is pumped to tanks to begin its fermentation where it remains for 8 days and later be transferred to oak barrels to give rise to malolactic fermentation. To finish they are left to age for 18 months in French oak barrels, of which 45% are new barrels and the rest is balanced with old barrels.
It goes very well with any red meat, cured cheeses and meat stews, try it also with meat to the barbecue !.
