Our winery was founded in the year 1794 by the "Steffen-Schmitt" family in Trittenheim, a village in the Moselle valley, one of the most famous wine-growing areas of Europe. After 1945 the brothers Johann and Peter Steffen were able to expand the winery-business through their constant, quality-driven work, always looking to further improve their wines.With more than 200 years of experience, our family owned- and run winery is known worldwide for the excellent quality of it´s wines. Today the winery is managed very successfully by Hans Steffen and his son Roman Steffen. With their foreseight and expertise they were able to further increase the export-share by more than 65% worldwide.
