Bodegas Milvus Zazuar
Bodegas Milvus was established in 1965 in Zazuar (Burgos) in the Arandilla valley in the Ribera del Duero. Founded by 144 members from Zazuar
We currently have 200Has of vineyards, with an average age of more than 50 years. We have 6Has of pre-phylloxera vineyards, dated before 1900, although there are probably some more vineyards.
The vineyards are mostly goblet trained and with very narrow planting frames.
In the winery we have a capacity of 1.730.000 tanks, of which 1.186.000l are concrete tanks. The latter are important for the elaboration and conservation of the wine.
We have 900 barrels of 225l and 9bocoys of 500l. The production tanks are of 20.000l. In them we put 17.000Kg of destemmed grapes not crushed.
